Spanish solar energy group Soltec Power Holdings SA (BME:SOL) and French multi-energy major TotalEnergies SA (EPA:TTE) on Wednesday officially launched the construction of a 14-MW solar farm in Spain’s south-eastern region on Murcia.
The project is named Los Valientes I and II, according to Soltec’s LinkedIn post where the ground-breaking ceremony was announced.
Los Valientes is one of 352 MW of solar projects that the Spanish company co-developed with TotalEnergies. Under their agreement, TotalEnergies is the majority owner of special purpose vehicles (SPVs) that hold the projects, owning a 65%. Soltec holds the remaining 35%, according to an earlier announcement.
Soltec, being a vertically integrated solar power business, is in charge of the construction of the Los Valientes solar farm.
